The Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association (OEFFA) was formed in 1979 and is a membership-based grassroots organization, dedicated to promoting and supporting sustainable, ecological, and healthful food systems.
OEFFA's membership includes farmers, consumers, gardeners, chefs, teachers, researchers, retailers, and students. What members have in common is an interest in creating and maintaining a food system that is good for people, good for the earth, and good for the future.
To help our members network and stay informed, OEFFA produces a local foods and products directory, a membership directory, and a quarterly newsletter. OEFFA organizes the state's largest sustainable agriculture conference, along with farm tours and workshops throughout the year. In addition, OEFFA provides organic certification services for growers, direct assistance to growers with questions, and an apprenticeship program to help students gain hands-on experience. OEFFA also works on state and federal issues, advocating for polices that protect and benefit sustainable agriculture, research and education, family farmers, and a citizens' right to know.
Your financial support makes this work possible, enabling OEFFA to work to promote sustainable and organic agricultural systems that nourish our bodies, our communities, and our environment.
