The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) was formed in 1979 and is a membership-based, grassroots organization, dedicated to promoting and supporting sustainable, ecological, and healthful food systems.
OEFFA's membership includes more than 3,000 farmers, consumers, gardeners, chefs, teachers, researchers, retailers, and students. What members have in common is an interest in creating and maintaining a food system that is good for people, good for the earth, and good for the future.
To help our members network and stay informed, OEFFA provides members with an online directory of food and farm businesses called the Good Earth Guide, a quarterly newsletter, and access to top-notch educational workshops, webinars, and farm tours. Each February, OEFFA organizes Ohio's largest sustainable agriculture conference with more than 100 workshops. In addition, OEFFA provides technical assistance and organic certification services for growers, a Farmer Information Network, and an apprenticeship program to help students gain hands-on experience from knowledgable farmers. OEFFA also advocates for federal, state, and local policies that benefit sustainable agriuclture.
