Seed Starting Workshop for Vegetable Growers

Starting seeds is a critical component of every commercial vegetable farm's success. This hands-on workshop provides practical experience in the entire seed-starting process. Learn about methods that can increase your success in growing plant starts and discuss management of pests and diseases in the greenhouse or grow space.
The workshop will be in the propagation house at Bahr Farm, a 100 year old diversified vegetable and livestock farm.
Presenter: Charles Griffin teaches in the sustainable agriculture program at Cincinnati State. He has been training students and apprentices in plant propagation techniques for small farms and gardens in the Midwest for over 15 years.
Cost: $25 for OEFFA members; $30 for farmers/growers; $10 for students. Class limited to 12 participants. Pre-registration is required. Registration fee includes materials, coffee, and cookies.
