Rural Action is hosting a 2-day conference, focused on Forest Farming Business Planning and Development. This event has been rescheduled for March 23-25 at Camp Oty'Okwa in Ohio's Hocking Hills region.
This multi-day workshop will provide beginning and experienced forest farmers with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to take their small-scale or hobby operation to the next level. The event will utilize peer-to-peer learning opportunities through workshops led by forest farmers and entrepreneurs who have built their own successful businesses.
Discuss and explore the possibilities, limitations, and finances associated with small-scale forest farming enterprises, and how to build an operation that allows you to incorporate what you love with what is commercially viable. This will be an opportunity for participants to develop and refine their vision for a sustainable forest farming enterprise.
The cost for the workshop (Friday-Sunday) is $40 in advance and $50 on site. Advanced registration is required. Lodging will be provided on site at Camp Oty'Okwa.
