This Illinois Soil Health Week presentation will explain how regenerative agriculture farming practices combat climate change by improving soil health to sequester more carbon in the soil and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) in our atmosphere that is causing global warming.
The Illinois Stewardship Alliance will also explain the benefits of RA to farmers, ranchers, and eaters, and the reasons why supporting climate-friendly policies in the 2024 Farm Bill and Inflation Reduction Act are so important. The Regenerative Agriculture (RA) Coalition is part of Al Gore's Climate Reality Project, an international organization that recruits, trains, and mobilizes individuals to educate the public about climate change. There are 127 U.S. Chapters in 39 states with 18,000 members. The RA Coalition is focused on Nature-Based Solutions that reduce greenhouse gasses in our atmosphere causing global warming with the goal of achieving Net-Zero emissions before 2050.
