Blue Rock Station, located just south of Philo, Ohio in Muskingum County has been included in the National Solar Tour of businesses for the fifth year in a row.
The tour of Blue Rock Station will begin promptly at 11 a.m. and will include several of their buildings that incorporate the use of passive solar and thermal mass as part of the overall construction techniques used in the design. A rammed-earth tire technique demonstration will take place at 2:00 p.m.
The national tour includes thousands of sites, with Ohio being in the top five for number of tour locations. The purpose of the tour is to provide citizens the opportunity to learn more about the variety of ways renewable energy is used in business and the home.
