Low Impact Forest Equipment and Techniques for Landowners

Rural Action and Light on the Land Services are hosting a free workshop and demonstration to help landowners learn about low impact technologies and services to help get work done in the woods.

Find out what equipment is best for different jobs, and how to find qualified people in your area to help you with the work.

See a mini log skidder on tracks, a log skidding winch mounted to a tractor 3 point hitch, a log skidding plate mounted to tractor 3 point hitch, portable winch, log splitter, and various supplies for log processing such as peavies and cant hooks.

Workshop and demonstration begin at 1 p.m. Arrive at noon for a free lunch utilizing locally made wood charcoal and burgers and brats from local producers.
