A good dinner can satisfy more than just our appetite. A vibrant, local food system can provide Ohio's family farmers with a secure income, while protecting our environment and meeting the growing consumer demand for fresh, safe, healthy food.
The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) was formed in 1979 and is a membership-based, grassroots organization, dedicated to promoting and supporting sustainable, ecological and healthful food systems.
OEFFA's membership includes farmers, consumers, gardeners, chefs, teachers, researchers, retailers, and students. Together, we are working to recreate a regionally-scaled farming, processing, and distribution system that moves food from farm to local fork.
We’ve built relationships with dairy farmers, grocery stores, and consumers. We’ve needed skilled employees. And we’ve needed to get our product in the hands of consumers, so they can taste just how much better our milk is.
That’s where OEFFA comes in. Through OEFFA, we’ve been able to make connections with farmers, businesses, and consumers that have allowed us to grow and to support one another. Now our products are available in more than 125 retail locations.
Here’s our pledge to you: We’re going to keep growing—we’re going to partner with more farmers committed to grass-grazing their cows and we’re going to be available in more retail markets, so consumers have a choice of locally produced milk. We couldn’t do this without the support and community we get from OEFFA. Please consider making your financial pledge to the organization that helps us.
Will you support OEFFA’s work by donating $52? Just $1 a week will foster OEFFA’s work to nurture family farmers and sustainable food systems that nourish our bodies, our communities, and our environment. To make a donation, click here. Thanks to your generosity!
Then, join us as we open the Creamery doors for our fourth annual open house on June 8. Please consider opening your wallet for the organization that has been bringing farmers and consumers together during this free public farm tour series for more than 30 years.
