Description
Franklinton Farms nourishes our neighborhood and tends the earth for the sake of community. The Farm is one of the most (if not the most) productive fruit and vegetable farm in Columbus, Ohio. While our neighborhood is rich in history (it is the original settlement of Columbus!) we are motivated by the current challenges of generational poverty, fresh food access, substance abuse, and human trafficking. We envision a neighborhood and food system that respects the land, values all people, and celebrates community! Franklinton Farms (the Farms) hosts a number of community-oriented programs including youth garden education, food access opportunities and a farming social enterprise. Operating in a unique, sustainable, and responsive way, Franklinton Farms gardens span over 2 acres but are located across 12 lots.
