Garden Practicum: Planting and Cultivation Techniques (Class 6)

Instructors: Joshua Jones and Peter Huttinger

This is a series of Six Classes offered by the Turner Farm Community Garden Program and hosted by the Price Hill Recreation Center.
During the sessions, the group will work together to learn garden basics in the classroom and the Price Hill Community Garden. Class topics include growing fruits and vegetables naturally, seed starting, direct sowing seeds and potatoes, seasonal growing practices, managing pests, in addition to when and how to harvest, cook and store your garden bounty.

In addition through the Learn-Grow-Earn Program participants will have the opportunity to earn a garden bed for their home in exchange for participating in the garden classes, practicum and volunteer work.

Classes are FREE with advance registration
