Description
The Garden For All exists to provide fresh vegetables and cut flowers to those in the Gahanna and New Albany communities who are suffering from food insecurity. We use some of our eight acres of land to grow and provide fresh and nutritious vegetables to the Gahanna Residents in Need (GRIN) and Healthy New Albany Food Pantry (NAFP). We provide outside space for our community of volunteers to serve with others by growing and packaging fresh produce and flowers for distribution to our local food pantry partners. Last season we hosted 85 volunteers in the gardens. As part of our mission to empower others, we also host educational “Sow and Grow” container garden workshops and provide instruction, seeds and containers for food pantry patrons to grow fresh produce at their homes. We are expanding our growing space and will add an additional 70X100 growing spaces for vegetable production. We currently have a 50X70 and 20X35 vegetable area plus a 20X30 cut flower area. We use organic and no-till methods.
